Karuna Reiki®
Karuna® Reiki is a powerful energetic system that has its roots in Usui and Tibetan Reiki. Karuna with its Sanskrit origin, means “compassionate action that comes from an unbounding sea of love”. In comparison to Usui, which is calm, gentle yet powerful, Karuna® Reiki energies are stronger and able to heal a wider range of issues. With both Usui Reiki and Karuna® Reiki, the energy goes where it is needed, it can do no harm. Your level of openness effects the level of healing received. With both, the practitioner asks for the highest good of all involved.
Although Karuna® Reiki has its origins in Usui Reiki, it differs. Both modalities the practitioner uses their hands to transmit energy. Karuna® uses this technique but also includes chanting and toning, both powerful methods of transmitting healing energy. The practitioner uses an empowered voice to sound Karuna®. These healing sounds are directed with toning into an area in need of healing or energetic block.
Karuna® Reiki is especially good for those needing to change their behaviors. It assists with the healing of trauma and deep rooted addictions. It helps with emotional, mental, spiritual and physical abuse issues without having to relive causes. Working deeply on karmic strongholds, Karuna® breaks up these patterns substituting with love. Experiences can become so ingrained that they have become a part of our cellular memory. Karuna® works on these areas that have become embedded in us. Shattering the delusions of the subconscious mind, it helps us work through denial and blaming of others. Karuna® Reiki addresses and helps heal the Shadow Self. The Shadow Self is created by internalizing negative feelings held within our unconscious mind. With a lack of self acceptance, the Shadow Self is cloaked in denial that continues to affect our behavior and experience. We continue to attract negative experiences. Healing the Shadow Self allows us not to be affected by those negative experiences. We are then able to express those feelings in a healthy balanced way free from tension or stress. This leaves room for us to experience life with positive feelings.

There are different effects that have been reported after a Karuna® Reiki treatment. Some have a deeply moving experience. What is important is to understand that healing is a process. And sometimes we experience what would otherwise be perceived as negative feelings and we wonder if the treatment is working. The stress experienced after a treatment is an indication of a deeper level of healing. This is sometimes called a “healing crisis”. Uncomfortable feelings are an important part of your recovery as you return to a deeply healed state. When you begin to heal, your life is affected on deeper levels than what was expected.
